Training in Your Home
All of the training I offer is positive reinforcement training, done by me, Ashley Mapes ABCDT, certified through Animal Behavior College. I have taught classes and been through an externship at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. I have been studying dog behavior and training since 2005, and training professionally since 2011.

One on One:
I offer in home one on one obedience training.
My training style is positive reinforcement with minimal corrections. I treat train, and then wean off treats to petting and praising vocally as a reward. (don't worry, you won't have to have a treat on you forever)
Assessment visit: $75/hr
Assessment is one hour and will include the trainer getting to know the dog and owner, and beginning training. Ending with setting up another session, or counseling on further action. Can be done in home or at Ashley Mapes Dogs.

Pay by the session: $50/hr + $0.40/mile

Training plan: a customized plan based on your training needs, to meet 1 time per week for at least 3 weeks. (Price is a bundled rate and costs less than per session. Training Plans 6 weeks and longer also qualify for a payment plan.)

One on One
All of the training I offer starts with huge positive reinforcement training, and can stop there if the owner chooses. I also offer professional level E Collar training, requiring the E Collar be the one that comes with your package or you bought through me. I have high standards for E Collars and will NOT use cheap collars that may actually cause a dog harsh pain they don't understand. All training is done with me, Ashley, certified through Animal Behavior College. I have taught classes and been through an internship at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. I have been studying dog behavior and training since 2005, and training professionally since 2011.
